Dear Praying Friends,
After a long day of running last-day errands, saying final good-byes, organizing our belongings, and packing twenty pieces of luggage . . . we are ready to go. We will leave at 5:30 Tuesday morning for JFK, and our flight is scheduled to depart at 11:30am. Lord willing, our next update will be from South Africa!
Please keep us in prayer over the next few days. In addition to prayer requests for safety in travel, successful luggage transfers, and customs clearance, we also ask you to pray that our shipping container logistics will be resolved quickly once we arrive.
We found out this morning that the day after our arrival, we need to have some of our shipping container paperwork notarized in South Africa. From Knysna, we must travel roughly 200 miles east to the city of Port Elizabeth to spend the night. Then, first thing Friday morning, we must present our visas, passports, and notarized copies of our shipping documents. None of this presents a problem, but it’s a bit rushed because our container is scheduled to arrive on 8/22. We are grateful the container will arrive so soon after we do; yet it’ll be a bit stressful until the weekend comes. We’ll be off and running for sure! Please pray all goes well with this (hopefully) final requirement.
Thankful for your prayers!
